Listening to the Round Table podcast from previous freshman students gave an insight on their past experiences. They helped relieve stress and gave helpful tips about freshman year. One piece of advice I took away from the podcast would be to have fun, but get your work done. Skylar stated, “Don’t Procrastinate and get your work done,” which influenced me to get a head start on my assignments for the week. Another piece of advice that I gained would be to get to know your professors. Also, get to know your FASTrack leaders and advisors and take advantage of the one-on-one time. I feel like this will be very beneficial to me this semester, and I cannot wait to reach out for help. One thing I am most excited about this year is to meet new people and explore the many different things on campus. I am least looking forward to all the rules COVID19 has set on everything restricting many activities and events. One piece of advice I would give a student going into their senior year would be to take it all in. It goes by so fast so have fun, do your work, and make the very most of it.
