When reading the Fast Facts in Section 1 of the textbook, “Harmony at Home,” I saw number 4: “Among millenials–those born after 1980–only 30% say having a successful marriage is ‘one of the most important things’ in life” (16).
I’d heard a portion of a “Hidden Brain” podcast last week about sex on college campuses and the rise of “casual hookups” as opposed to meaningful sex within a relationship. I wonder if there’s a connection between these, and what it says about the future of relationships in America. I also wonder if this will be a positive trend for future American families or a negative one.
