1) What is the rhetorical situation in which Anzaldua finds herself using different language forms?

1. A) Her Message may be to her mean teacher, but more likely to other Mexiacn Americans    

2) Does Anzaldua’s writing attempt to invoke an emotional response from its readers?

1. A) Yes, when she is younger and begging to learn English.

3) What makes Anzaldua credible to speak about language practices as a condition of access into a community? 

1. A) It’s her own personal experience of having to learn to speak better English to be able to be in College.

4) Does the author make any logical appeals to persuade readers? 

1. A) She Talks about it being a First Amendment Right. Not having to speak perfect English.

5)  What assumptions about culture can we make based on the content of Anzaldua’s text?

1. A) That she may have been persecuted because of her English and Race.
