In this article Dirk explains how genre is not just how you learned it in elementary school, it has evolved. In this Dirks reexamines the definition as a whole. There are too many kinds of genres to count according to Dirk. Understanding genres and how they are used helps develop good writing and reading skills. Dirk also explains how everyone needs to develop genre awareness. This will allow us to be aware of what we are reading and the significance of the article. This will then lead to us becoming better writers since we will now know the significance of genres. |
