She includes a story from her past to help emphasize the importance of the lesson she is trying to teach the readers. According to Fisherman, parents teach kids literacy at a young age. They also are controlling what the children read so that’s a big role as a parent for the child. In the Amish community it is very had to become understand literacy because the parents limit what children can read. Fisherman overcame those challenges and started to understand literacy despite being Amish. |
