| Summarize the article — include your reaction, thoughts, anything to help you remember its claims. 100 to 150 words | In this article Brandt discusses the importance of literacy today. Over time it has become easier for a human to explain and depict what they heard, saw or experienced, and this is because of the evolution of our literacy. Literacy has developed economically and personally for everyone. There has become a competition to harness literacy over time. Brandt explains about a girl named Dora Lopez who was a Mexican-American. When Dora was a child she decided to teach herself to read. She attended a University. Dora had a sponsorship although it wasn’t a very strong sponsorship it was still very useful for her. Eventually Dora’s bilitterate skills allowed her to become very successful. Sponsorships allow you to be able to pull literacy tendencies from a multitude of groups to advance your writing. |
