This connects with most of my high school and middle school english classes where they taught critical thinking frequently.

Summarize the article — include your reaction, thoughts, anything to help you remember its claims. 100 to 150 words The author explores different ways to define a genre or create a work of art that is in the given genre. Kerry Dirk uses the Country genre in music as a main example in this essay. Exercise 1: freewrite without stopping

So I am sitting here in my room writing some blog post for Mr. G and his writing class and I have been tasked to write for 10 minutes without stopping. I’m really hungry. I want to go eat somewhere, probably the cafeteria after I finish writing this. After that, I’m done with all my work and i am going to go to the square with my friends and its going to be a good time. been thinking about getting a haircut cause man, my hair sucks right now. My car is supposed to be shipping right now from california and the car shipping people are really bad at their jobs. It was supposed to be picked up on the 15th and they still havent done it yet. I cant drive to get my hair cut so either im gonna go with a friend or walk there cause theres no way im getting an uber there. Anyways, that concludes my terrible free write. Im hungry, thats my excuse. I can’t write when im hungry. My bad.
