The first thing I have learned is that an argumentative paper is more about getting one’s point across with supporting evidence than proving that one’s argument is correct or the truth. Even though this may appeal to others, I think of fighting, yelling, and overpowering when I see argument or argumentative. In terms of papers, this is not the case; one must prove their point without bashing or attacking the opposing side. With the topic of questioning the helpfulness of online school, I have discovered that I am not the only one who feels that online school has caused more harm than good in terms of mental, physical, and so many more aspects. Not only was this discovery beneficial to my research but also to me as well. It has resulted in me feeling less alone and singled out during these difficult times. The only problems I would say I am facing are structure and embedding my sources within my papers. As I continue working on my writing, the structure is coming together, and besides, when I get to a stopping point within my draft, I will send it to my teacher and peers so they may provide any additional pointers.
I’m so glad to hear that your research has been so helpful to you!
