Four elements of a writer’s practice sculpts a writer. The way I would describe my writing practice is a structured mess. I describe it that way because I write things that come to mind, but as I write instead of erasing I typically just start over. I take ideas from the first thing I wrote and later might combine it with what I feel is my final piece. I know that with writing, depending on the type of writing, there should be evidence or that you should cite your work. I know that with every thesis there should be strong information that supports that statement or even any statement. As a writer I think its important to make notes before writing a prompt. I think this is an important step because it helps structure your writing. When approaching a written task, I typically write notes, write an introduction for the prompt, then write the body paragraphs and rearrange them to see which order fits best and then I’ll fix my thesis accordingly. I think my writing is a structured mess because with writing it’s never perfect. Any form of writing can be better. I think setting things up in a way where any information can be added or subtracted is a pretty decent way of writing. I like to write with an open-mind, allowing my writing to be better, allowing me to be better. I think writing is a way to freely expression your opinion with minimal judgement.
