Summarize the article — include your reaction, thoughts, anything to help you remember its claims. 100 to 150 words Research can be done in numerous ways. It can be done by surveys ,interviews, observation, statistical analysis, letters, journals, etc. Primary research is research collected firsthand. Secondary research being a book or article or journal.Primary research has a process from starting with research to narrowing down your topic and developing questions and a hypothesis.
Define new terms and concepts by quoting or paraphrasing the original author. If you are observing people, you can choose between two common ways to observe: participant observation and unobtrusive observation. 

Participant observation is a common method within ethnographic research in sociology and anthropology.

Unobtrusive- not conspicuous

Ethnographic-relating to scientific description of people and cultures with their customs, habits, and mutual differences.

How does this reading connect to other articles from class and/or your own research?

 

This reading connects with research I have done for the first major project. It connects in a way that will help me to know exactly what to look for when finding my primary and secondary sources.
