Writing 101
Mr. G.
Reflective Writing
According to Merriam Webster Dictionary, the definition of a writer is “one that writes: such as an author or one who writes stock options.” (Merriam-Webster) To me, I believe a writer can be anyone in the world. Writing is simple, but can also be difficult at the same time. The simple part of writing is grabbing a pen and paper or laptop and sitting there thinking about what you need to write. Then the hard part comes, which is knowing what to write and piecing it all together. One thing I always struggle with when it comes to writing is knowing how to start my piece of writing. Oftentimes I would find myself staring at my blank screen praying something will come to mind. Over the years, I’ve developed a strategy where I would jot down all my ideas and thoughts and begin writing my body paragraphs, until something comes to mind for my introduction. Overall, I would consider myself a pretty average writer, who likes to add a little humor to my writing. I would say my writing skills have definitely improved throughout the years, and I cannot wait to know how much more they could develop.
