Research Talk

For my project I have been doing a lot of research on RebelTHON. Some research I have been doing is researching more about the organization and everything that it involves. For example, I have looked through their website and social media, as well as articles involving RebelTHON. I have also interviewed a fellow student about their experience participating in RebelTHON. I do not have many research problems or concerns but my biggest concern is getting the wrong information about RebelTHON or giving incorrect statistics regarding the amount of money raised. When I do my research, I always check that it is from a reliable source and make sure to double check any information when I am able to. What has gone well for my research is that I am able to find multiple sources regarding RebelTHON and use their multiple media outlets to gather information as well. I am also to easily find people to interview about RebelTHON and have student views on the organization as well.

Interview:

I am with Jackson Buser, a member of RebelTHON and a recent participant in it as well. Jackson is a Freshman here at Ole Miss and I thought it would be a good idea to get a student’s perspective about RebelTHON so it would be more relatable to other students interested in it.

Questions:

  1. How did you become a member of RebelTHON?
    1. “I became a member of RebelThon because I had to join for my EDHE 106 class. However I was still interested in RebelThon and had been wanting to join for a while.”
