What is your process of judging the accuracy or validity of a source?
My process is making sure the source has prior knowledge to the topic they are talking about. And making sure that they have background information and other sites to back it up. I then would look up other sources that also back up this information because it is always good to have more than one source.
How do you recognize and combat your assumptions/biases during the research process?
I make sure before going into research I do not already form my opinion. Because you never know, your opinion could change after you research and you do not want to already have your mind made up because then you can not learn from it. Additionally you can learn more from forming new opinions on different situations.
How do you decide what information is most important in a final draft of your academic writing?
I decide what is more important by quantity over quality. So if it does not add to my story or argument then there is no point of having that sentence in my final draft. I only use points of views that add to what I am talking about not take away and distract you from the point
