Finding Your Way Exercise

I think the biggest type of writing that I do that isn’t school-related is texting. I know that this might not be the type of formal writing that this exercise is looking for but it’s the best I got. I think my knowledge about people comes a lot. When composing a message you have to know who you are writing to and what style of text to use. For example, messaging back and forth with my dad I use more formal writing. I include things like commas, periods, and other types of punctuations. He is a bit older and doesn’t understand texting ligo so I have to make sure that I am fully spelling out words when communicating with him. Now on the other hand we have my friends who are in my classes with me or in my sorority all are from my generation and 99% of them understand what I am saying no matter how I type it. I am terrible at spelling so when I text my friends I don’t stay focused on that. I also read a study that said something along the lines of… as lnog as yuo haev all teh letser of a wrod wittrne dwon it deostn mttaer wath oderr teh lteters aer in as lnog as the frist leertt is in teh right palec. So most of them understand what’s going on. So I think that my knowledge of things like this comes in handy a lot more than I think it does.
