The source also has an interesting infographic with other facts about students and their use of social media. I like how this source broke down the percentage of college students using specific social media platforms.

This source also goes into more detail about when and how students access social media. No surprise, the smart phone was used by over 75% of students who check social media later in the afternoon.

This academic source focused primarily on college students and their use of Facebook. Most students spend 10-30 minutes a day on Facebook. This article will be useful in adding some legitimate statistics to my infographic.

I wonder how short-sighted that last article is. Time spent “on facebook” might be misleading because I wonder if their methods include time spend on Messenger, and other ancillary services. Few people probably log onto facebook in a browser for more than a few minutes a day.
