http://seekingalpha.com is the website I want to use for the website usability report.
Seeking Alpha is a website that provides information on the stock market. Seeking Alpha is an extremely useful website full of relative information, but there are ways I believe it could be improved. The home page has eight separate tabs that each expand to eight other subcategories. Seeking Alpha allows the user to add stocks to a portfolio but as you scroll down the portfolios the articles alongside them scroll with them. The search bar at the top of the page lets you search for specific stocks and once you’ve found the stock it then provides six other subcategories. These subcategories include: latest, analysis, news, earning, stock talk, and key data. There’s no way to filter the information in these subcategories so they often repeat. Seeking Alpha allows users to comment on articles written by other users, but the comments are not sorted by the day they’re posted so the latest comment doesn’t always appear at the top. Seeking Alpha is a great website, but I believe with some modifications it could become even better.
