For the argument essay the one thing that I am having trouble with is the counter argument part that we have to write. This is a problem for me because of the fact that when I find a topic that I enjoy or strongly agree with it’s hard for me to step back and find the flaw in my own topic/argument. This is something that is easy to overcome, but I have to make myself overcome it. Another problem that I have is when I have an argument that I feel strongly about I don’t like to be proven wrong or to realize that I am in the wrong so avoiding the counter topic all together seems like an easier thing to do in my brain. To overcome this problem I could ask random people what they thought and ask them to give me counter ways to approach it. The good thing about this paper though is that I do very well at arguing so if I feel strongly about a topic and I am given a counterpoint that makes me feel like I am in the wrong I will be able to back up my argument and make the paper stronger.
