To me, literacy is a form of expression. I believe what one writes comes from deep inside of their soul, fiction or non-fiction, people write what they feel and believe, unless they are BS’ing an assignment. Their are many rules in literacy we must follow, like punctuation, formatting, etc. The definition of literacy is the ability to write and read. I am focusing on the writing part of literacy. When someone writes a fictional book they are using the inner-mist depths of their creativity and putting what they imagine onto paper. One Literary Sponsor of mine is my Father. He inspired my to become a better writer by showing me what a great writer is at such a young age. He helped show me a goal to reach for, and set me on the path to achieve it. When I three years-young my father would write stories to me from the military base in Texas. I loved reading them, they were so creative and imaginative, they brought me into my own little world, as if I had stepped into the Gates of Narnia. As most kids do, I wanted to be just like my father and his writing, I wanted to be able to bring people into their own little world.
