When doing so Jones states that someone must win the argument and the other has to lose. Afterward, she also brings up public arguments such as presidential debates, social media arguments, etc. When talking about public arguments, Jones states not all set out to misinform. In the appeals, Jones brings up the three ways to appeal/persuade one another which are as follows: Logos, Ethos, and Pathos. Logos is using logic. Ethos is the use of one’s values, idols, and character. Pathos is using emotions for persuasion. These are easy ways to help win an argument by appealing one to agree. |
