Cohen_Reflection to Critical Thinking Survey

I do not think argumentative papers are necessarily my strong suit. I have a hard time finding scholarly articles and journals that even pertain to what I may be trying to argue. Then if I do find an article or journal it can be hard to understand what the author is trying to convey. I have done a couple of argumentative essays so I do feel comfortable with using secondary and primary sources, but it is getting the most important information out of these sources I think I struggle with. I can detect problems in an argumentative essay if one side is presented more than the other side. Also if the facts and statistics given favor one side much greater than the other. I do not think I can explain my argument convincingly and logically. A lot of times when writing an argumentative essay I get distracted by one fact while in the middle of a paragraph explaining a different fact. Thinking about the audience my paper will be read by is another thing I struggle with. I can say that I am able to realize when my biases are coming through onto the paper and am able to take a step back and come back later. The information I would decide is most important would be the facts given from research articles and statistics. Also giving facts that no one can dispute.
