Whenever I read a story, I always never feel like I can relate to the character because of my social standing. To me it makes it even harder for me to enjoy the book. Point back at the video of Marley Dias, I always felt that reading was just a punishment because I never liked to read in the beginning. That’s when I started to open up more by reading books about my culture and other issues in the world. That’s when I started to like reading. I always put myself into the character’s shoes and see how they lived. It opened a world of imagination for me to discover. When I started to read more about issues in the world, I started to speak up about and informing others. Now I actively look on social media to see current things going on in the world and telling everyone I know about them.
