Literacy to me is the way a person reads or writes due to the influence around them.
One of my sponsors or literacy is music.
Music has a great influence on me when it comes to literature. I express myself more by listening to music and write down how it makes me feel. It opens up my imagination for me to write many things from essays to poems or just simply writing things down. At first, I wasn’t too big of a fan of writing in general. Now that I listen to music, it gave me the will to write because of how the artist uses it to express their feeling and emotions. For me, I have a hard time writing anything because I can’t concentrate nor focus due to my ADHD. My ADHD makes me tend to wander off when I am writing and I hate when it does that. To combat my ADHD, I have to listen to music. While listening to music, I can express more in my writing because it gives me more creative energy. Also my anxiety has an influence on when I write as well because I tend to worry about if I am writing correctly, am I using the correct grammar, spelling or just simply sticking to the main topic. Music gives me the strength to calm down and begin writing. Music to me is just a way to escape from the real world and it is like a boost of energy for me when I write.
