Dr. Mona is a pediatrician and she is aware of the water in Flint but she doesn’t really acknowledge it. Until one of her patients asked if she could switch from breastfeeding to formula and she asked was the water in the area as fine. The patient stated that she heard a thing about the water but Dr. Mona said it was safe. Then Dr. Mona finally heard about the water situation and she began to think about the children in the area and how they are getting sick so she decides to do something about it by speaking up. In my life, I have never made people aware of a problem that they don’t know because I don’t live in a rural area and everyone in my neighborhood knows everything that goes on. To make the world a better place I as an individual must use my voice and speak out on issues that go on in today’s society and make sure that I can help spread the word to others so they can help as well.
