Summarizing “10 ways to have a better conversation.”

“10 ways to have a better conversation,” is about how to properly talk and listen. She exclaims that in this time every conversation has the potential to evolve into an argument. Our politicians cannot speak without fear. She claims that this is not normal. She states that we are more divided than we have ever been in history. We are not listening to each other we are listening to speak. She gives 10 tips on how to be a better listener and speaker. Two points that I found useful for myself in my own life was to not multitask while listening to someone and to use open ended questions. A lot of times while listening to someone my mind is elsewhere thinking about an assignment or just something else. I find a lot of times I am not completely present. Most of the time I ask simple questions that require a yes or no answer, but by asking open ended questions it would make the conversation more intriguing.
