Literacy to me is the ability to be able to understand all styles of writing an to be able to write on your own as well as to be able to interoperate writing as a whole.
My sponsors of literacy are my former teachers, current teachers, my parents, friends, the media I watch, and my choice of movies and readings.
These sponsors are key for anything you do that is in the realm of reading and writing. This is caused by the grave impact they put on in the long run. While reading on my own time I see these sponsors in action no matter what it is I am doing; in school, a multitude of different resources around me. These sponsors pave a way for support and knowledge. The crazy part is now that I think about it I wrote an essay in my senior year English class and it was about how my parents influenced my decisions in life leading up to college. Now I see that this paper was about my parents as my sponsors in life. Guiding me through the ups and downs in life lesson after lesson, paper after paper, scar after scar, etc. They helped me get to where I am today and make me who I am when I write and make choices every day to select what I want to be around.
