Though the “digital afterlife” or uploading the human mind to a computer is commonly believed to be merely a science fiction idea, some scientists are now claiming that it is a very real possibility and will be achievable much sooner than we think. Research is just beginning to explore this topic, but companies and scientists all over the world are interested in pursuing this goal. There is a lot of debate over whether this will even be possible and if it were, the effects and moral consequences of it.
