Collaborative thinking allows you to have more opinions on a certain topic. By getting in our groups of three, we were able to each express our own individual thoughts about the material, but then also be able to see how someone else’s opinion and how the three of us were thinking differently. Another set of eyes never hurts, especially in writing. In reading and writing, it is great to understand all sides of the material which can be eased by listening to others.

  1. This was another great instance where we got into groups to discuss material from class. The only other time that we had done group discussions by this point was to discuss what we had each written and researched separately. At first, I thought that it was pointless to put us together to talk about what we saw in a video. I thought that we would all easily see the same things if we were watching the same video. To my astonishment, when it came time to state what we saw it was like each of us had seen completely different videos. We sat there looking at each other trying to decide which one of us was right, until Mrs. Forgette assured us that none of us were wrong.
