I would first like to say that listening to my own voice is the most horrible thing that I can imagine, and I hope that this video never finds the light of day.
This video, in all of its awkwardness, shows me how much more comfortable I have become with recording these video reflections. When I watched my video reflection with Morgan I noticed how I was so much more relaxed and spoke more personably. I talk like a robot that just learned how to speak in this video, but the other reflection sounds like a normal conversation. Not only am I more comfortable with these videos but I with my writing as well. At the beginning of last semester I was so nervous. I knew nothing and no one. Now, I am so used to the writing process that I can start on a paper and get the hang of it in half the time it would have taken me last semester. I am also more comfortable with my fellow classmates. I am a very shy person, so speaking to other people is not in my comfort zone and I think that this was a big factor that I overcame throughout the first semester. I don’t think I’ve been nervous about talking to my writing classmates one time this whole semester. That may not seem like a big deal to a lot of people, but it is like walking on the moon to me.
