I think that it is a good thing to have a student newspaper because students get to read about what other students think is important. A student newspaper allows ideas to be spread easier than just by word of mouth. Newspapers are usually more reliable than one friend talking to another friend, who is talking to another friend, who is talking to another friend and so on. Anyone who has played a game of “Telephone” knows that! Student newspapers are an outlet for those who want to pursue a career in journalism, but are not quite ready to venture out into the big scary world!
