Analysis papers are what I am most used to. In high school, almost every one of the essays I wrote was analyzing a book or poem, so I felt good going into this paper. I was a little worried about if I was going to have enough to write about, but it turned out that I was struggling to keep it from going over 700 words. My biggest struggle was just starting the paper, but once I started the words just kind of flowed out.
If I had had more time I would have looked at more about Tiffany to get a better sense of the brand. I brought in a little outside evidence, but I would have liked to have a better understanding of who Tiffany & Co. was trying to advertise to. I know that they are an expensive brand, but are they trying to make it more accessible or did I misread the evidence.
I did not spend that much time on this paper, but I am still very happy with how it came out. I think I got all of my ideas on the paper. I would have spent more time if I needed to write a longer paper because I would have gone into more depth in the color section of my paper.
The ad analysis worksheet really helped me get started on this paper. It made me look at the different parts of the ad in a more detailed way. I was also helped by the peer review. Otherwise, I probably would have spent more time second guessing myself.
An analysis is like looking at the parts of a puzzle to put it together. You have to break it down before you can put it together. Every part is important to make the full thought coherent.
