Commonplace Book Purpose

I think the commonplace book has a very beneficial purpose. While I sometimes find it tedious and annoying, it has allowed me to draw deeper connections to what I have learned and how I could use it in other classes in the future.

  1. Wow, that’s all you could come up with Madelyn. I must have been on another planet or half asleep when I wrote this post. I think that the commonplace book goes way beyond the two sentences I mentioned in February. I view the commonplace book to be a place where I can keep my learning organized and show my progression as an individual and student. Pushing the boarders even more, I feel that the commonplace book served as a place for me to log my connections and thoughts at that very moment. I literally have the memory the length of a dog. I wouldn’t be surprised if I had the worst memory of the class. So for me, being able to instantly account what was happening and what I was thinking, really allows me to go back and connect further in the future.
