I think we should discuss how we feel about racism. Is it something everybody has ever dealt with. If you have, how did it make you feel. If not, why do you think it is still so prevalent in a world that claims to moving forward? Is racism still an issue in the United States or are we making progression? Will racism ever really be gone or will it linger on forever?

Discussing racism can be a very tough and heavy subject to talk about, because you don’t want to offend anybody. I was always happy when nobody picked my topic in class, because I did not know how we would talk about it or if people would even want to. Well, we finally picked my subject on our last discussion day. At first, everyone was silent. It was so silent, you could probably hear a feather drop. However, people finally started to talk about it, and we kept it friendly and mature. It was interesting to hear others talk about racism. I was really surprised at how well we did it.
