Our generation, Generation Y, still needs to grow up. The thirty year old friend I mentioned in the video still lives at home with her mom. Her mom actually had to go out of town one night, and she was so afraid that she did not even go to sleep. I wanted to say, “You are thirty years old!! Get yourself together!!!!!!!” I love my parents, and I love how they support me, but after a while, it is time to grow up. My issue is that I want to grow up, but my dad doesn’t want me to. He still sees me as this little girl who needs to ask permission to go places or see an R-rated movie. He doesn’t realize that I am almost twenty years old and need to start flying. My wings will never fully develop if he doesn’t. Growing up is all a part of life. You make mistakes, but you get back up again. Everybody, including me, has to grow up some time. I just hope mine comes sooner than later.
